Psychotherapist

Full-time, benefits-eligible position (40 hours per week).

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Option for four 10-hour shifts after orientation period

Pay

Pay range: $33.05 - $49.60 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care according to identified needs
• Manages clients in crisis utilizing appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques
• Writes treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation
• Writes discharge plans based on individual needs of client and follows through with termination process
• Collaborates with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery
• Completes patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy
• Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care and response in the medical record
• Completes accurate and timely billing information
• Designs, plans, and implements effective patient education
• Maintains open lines of communication and collaborates with healthcare team for patient outcome
• Provides behavioral health services to patients
• Completes psychosocial assessments and direct treatment via individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy

Physical Requirements

• Works in patient care areas including hospital units, emergency room, individual offices, and conference areas
• Exposure to potentially combative and hostile patients
• Frequent moving between areas, answering pages, and coordinating with staff across disciplines and agencies

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy) from an accredited school of graduate education
• Full licensure in applicable state required
• 2 years of clinical experience required
• CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapists working in inpatient psychiatric settings
