Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor
Responsibilities
Affords assistance in the overall functioning of the program to provide various services to individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
Participates in the development and implementation of relevant programming designed to meet the specific needs of individuals of all age groups, including young adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
Maintains an orderly program environment.
Facilitates self-help groups.
Facilitates community reintegration activities.
Participates as an Intensive Community Services Program team member.
Performs required program documentation.
Provides back-up for other team members.
Requirements
- M1: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or other approved Human Services degree
- OR Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner in Virginia
- M2: At least one year of clinical experience within the past seven years providing mental health services
- M3: Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to drive a 15-passenger vehicle
Annual Salary Range
$43,722 - $76,514
