Psychometrist

Job Overview

Fairview is seeking a Psychometrist to join their team at the Woodbury location. The position is approved for 80 hours (1.0 FTE) every two weeks.

About the Role

This position assists with the day-to-day operation of the department and provides direct patient care, including administering and scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests.

Responsibilities

• Accurately administer and score routine psychological and neuropsychological tests
• Observe and accurately record patient behavior during evaluations
• Communicate with the neuropsychologist regarding patient behavior
• Accurately score neuropsychometric tests according to guidelines
• Complete protocol forms and data summary sheets
• Engage in quality assurance projects under the direction of the neuropsychologist
• Perform clerical tasks such as file creation and management, inventory and reordering of materials, and maintenance of test materials and protocols
• Train and teach students, trainees, or other psychometrists on standardized test administration, scoring, and departmental procedures
• Participate in improving organizational performance by recommending projects and tasks

Requirements

Maintain knowledge of and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Psychology or related field
• Preferred: Neuropsychological/psychological testing experience
• Previous experience with psychological or neuropsychometric testing or training/employment as a psychometrist
• Experience working in a hospital setting or with hospital patients/families

Skills

Standardized test administration, scoring, and clerical duties.

Pay

Compensation within the posted range based on various factors including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.

Schedule

80 hours per two-week period (1.0 FTE)
