### Position Summary
WSU Tech is seeking a student-focused and engaging Psychology/Sociology Instructor to teach courses within the Social Sciences discipline. The instructor will provide high-quality instruction that promotes student success, critical thinking, and real-world application of psychological and sociological concepts. Courses may be offered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format.
### Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned Psychology and/or Sociology courses in accordance with approved curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain course materials, assessments, and instructional resources.
- Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports diverse student populations.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Utilize the institution's learning management system and instructional technologies.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administration.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and college initiatives as appropriate.
- Comply with all institutional policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.

## Requirements
### Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field OR masters degree and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
### Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching, training, tutoring, mentoring, or instructional experience.
- Experience with online or hybrid course delivery.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
### Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of psychological and sociological theories, principles, and research methods.
- Ability to engage students through active learning strategies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
