About the role

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) seeks qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors to teach courses in Behavioral Sciences: Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Behavioral Sciences: Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.
  • Coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.
  • Evaluate collected information and formulate recommendations.
  • Compile information into report form.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree is preferred in the subject area taught or a Master's Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the specific discipline area for the transfer courses taught.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Frequent manipulation of items with fingers, including keyboarding.
  • Sitting, standing, walking.
  • Constantly hearing, repetitive motion, talking.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, extensive reading, and visual inspection at distances close to the eyes.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay

Rate of pay: $765 per credit hour.

Schedule

Positions are available days, evenings, and weekends.
