Psychology Fellow

About the Program

The Psychology Fellow program offers specialized training structured according to one of six tracks:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
• Obsessive-Compulsive & Anxiety Disorders
• Pediatric Primary Care Psychology
• Pediatric Psychology
• Early Childhood
• Neuropsychology

Each track corresponds with training in the major training area. Fellows also expand competencies through a minor clinical training experience, research/scholarship experience, and structured didactic/professional development activities. Throughout the year, fellows typically spend approximately:

• 80% time in clinical service provision (60% in the major training area and 20% in the minor clinical experience, including supervision)
• 10% time in research/scholarship
• 10% time in didactics/professional development

Responsibilities

• Works on activities that include treatment, case conceptualization, and clinical research under the guidance of faculty who serve as clinical and/or research supervisors.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD from an accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology.
• Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship no more than five years prior to the initial appointment date.
• Experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
• Experience administering psychological test batteries, including projective measures.

Pay

Baylor College of Medicine typically follows NIH stipulated stipend guidelines for Postdoctoral Associates.
