PSYCHOLOGIST, CF - California Correctional Institution (CCI)

Duties

• Preadmission screenings
• Psychologist evaluation of inmates admitted to the program
• Crisis intervention
• Individual therapy
• Treatment and discharge planning
• Participating in interdisciplinary team evaluations
• Consulting with the psychiatrist, nursing, and other staff
• Supervision and training to students, interns, unlicensed psychologists, and other staff
• Participation in staff meetings and institutional committees
• Consulting with custody staff
• Program evaluation and research
• Consultation on research design and analysis of data

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California
• Experience in correctional settings preferred
• Knowledge of correctional psychology principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain confidentiality

Schedule

Effective July 1, 2025, the position is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.

Pay

The authorized HAM rate for this classification is: P $11,496, Q $13,937.
