Duties
- Preadmission screenings
- Psychologist evaluation of inmates admitted to the program
- Crisis intervention
- Individual therapy
- Treatment and discharge planning
- Participating in interdisciplinary team evaluations
- Consulting with the psychiatrist, nursing, and other staff
- Supervision and training to students, interns, unlicensed psychologists, and other staff
- Participation in staff meetings and institutional committees
- Consulting with custody staff
- Program evaluation and research
- Consultation on research design and analysis of data
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California
- Experience in correctional settings preferred
- Knowledge of correctional psychology principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain confidentiality

Schedule
Effective July 1, 2025, the position is a limited term position which may be extended or become permanent.
Pay
The authorized HAM rate for this classification is: P $11,496, Q $13,937.
