About the role

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences invites applicants for a full-time licensed psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychological services including comprehensive psychological assessments, evaluations, treatment, and consultation at the Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic at University Medical Center and Tulane University School of Medicine.
• Mentor and supervise medical students and residents.
• Engage in research and teaching activities within the medical school setting.
• Consult with healthcare professionals on mental health care issues.

Requirements

• Licensed psychologist in the state of Louisiana.
• Experience in adult mental health care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Postdoctoral training in clinical psychology.
• Experience in outpatient settings preferred.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in psychological assessment tools.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
