About the role

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Psychological Assistant/Staff Psychologist/Senior Staff Psychologist position at Student Counseling and Psychology (CAPS).

Responsibilities

  • Time-effective individual, couples, and group therapy
  • Crisis assessment and intervention
  • Consultation and outreach programming to the university community
  • Supervision of doctoral interns and graduate trainees
  • Participation on divisional and university committees

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated experience and training in generalist counseling
  • Licensure as a Psychologist in Nevada within 14 months from the date of hire for postdoctoral candidates and 24 months from the date of hire for new doctoral graduates
  • Experience and training in generalist counseling
  • Licensure for independent practice as a psychologist
  • 5 years of licensed related clinical work experience as a psychologist
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Experience in supervision and training
  • Proficiency in brief therapy and group counseling
  • A desire to work in a collaborative setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Psychological Assistant: Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
  • Staff Psychologist: Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology

Pay

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum salaries: Psychological Assistant $81,000; Staff Psychologist, $105,253; and Senior Staff Psychologist $120,000.

Schedule

Full-time, 12-month position.
