About the role

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Psychological Assistant/Staff Psychologist/Senior Staff Psychologist position at Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS).

Responsibilities

  • Time-effective individual, couples, and group therapy
  • Crisis assessment and intervention
  • Clinical supervision of doctoral interns and graduate trainees
  • Consultation and outreach programming to the university community
  • Participation on divisional and university committees

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited college or university
  • One year of related professional experience
  • Licensure for independent practice as a psychologist in Nevada
  • Provisional license as a Nevada Psychological Assistant
  • Experience in generalist counseling
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Experience in supervision and training
  • Proficiency in brief therapy and group counseling

Qualifications

  • Psychological Assistant: Provisional license as a Nevada Psychological Assistant by the start date, licensure as a Psychologist within 18 months.
  • Staff Psychologist: Licensure for independent practice as a psychologist prior to the start of employment.
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: 5 years of licensed related clinical work experience as a psychologist.

Pay

  • Psychological Assistant: $81,000-$90,000
  • Staff Psychologist: $105,253-$120,000
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: $120,000-$133,000

Schedule

  • Full-time, 12-month position
