Overview
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. Residencies
- To be considered for the HCA Residency at Lakeview Center, a candidate must currently be a resident of the Psychiatric Residency program at HCA West Florida.
- Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to follow directions, and ask questions for clarification.
- Residencies are work-based activities in which residents engage in learning through practical and relevant experiences at various sites.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Residents should demonstrate acquisition of residency program competencies and readiness to further develop these skills during the residency period.
- Residents are required to adhere to dress and behavior guidelines.
- Residents participate in all approved activities structured by the residency supervisor.
- Residents complete, sign, and submit all documentation as directed by the supervisor by the requested deadline.
- Residents communicate with the supervisor throughout the residency experience, especially if concerns or problems need to be addressed.
- Residents evaluate and share information about the residency experience.
- Residents comply with Lakeview Center, Inc. policies and procedures.
- Residents meet established criteria of the residency placement (e.g., not seek internships with family members, maintain passing grades, good attendance, and discipline records).
- Residents comply with training requirements.
- Residents have reliable transportation to and from the site.
- Residents cooperate with the supervisor; engage in the program as a learning experience; observe business etiquette; and abide by safety rules.
- Residents demonstrate honesty, punctuality, respect, courtesy, cooperative attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Residents remain at the assigned placement for the duration of the period except by mutual agreement of all parties.
- Residents maintain confidentiality guidelines.
