Primary Purpose
The Resident physician is responsible for meeting all academic, clinical, research and professional responsibilities assigned by the Residency Program Director and established by the appropriate Psychiatry Specialty Board to meet the requirements for board certification.

Essential Job Functions
- Attends and participates in all academic programs, including but not limited to lecture series, psychiatry seminars and journal club.
- Staffs correctional medicine facilities as assigned.
- Attends rotations as assigned.
- Completes all residency programs training requirements established by the appropriate certifying specialty board.
- Demonstrates competency and professional behavior in conducting assigned patient care responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to demonstrate spoken, auditory, reading, and writing proficiency in the English language. Ability to meet, with or without reasonable accommodation, all duties and responsibilities as described in our policies and procedures.
- Required Certifications/Licensures: Meet the requirements set by the Florida Board of Medicine or Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine for Initial Licensing of Resident. Evidence of passing COMLEX Level l and 2/USMLE Step 1 and 2.
- Required Education: MD or DO degree Major (if Required).
