About the Role
To provide the trainee with a full spectrum outpatient rural psychiatry experience. Our practice consists of one psychiatrist and two nurse practitioners embedded in the internal medicine office. This provides a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with primary care.
Full Spectrum Rural Psychiatry Practice
- Participate in weekly co-occurring substance use disorder clinic and SMI clinic.
- Participate in outpatient ECT.
- Opportunity to work with behavioral health nurse navigator to assess patients in the ER and inpatient setting.
Requirements
- Open to psychiatry residents PGY2 and above, open to family medicine and internal medicine residents PGY2 and above with approval.

- On-site housing is offered at no cost to the learner at the Dixon House, when space is available.
- If space is not available at the Dixon House, then the resident may request funds from MERGE to reimburse for housing in Farmington, per the MERGE housing policy.
