Psychiatrist, RISN at Rowan-Virtua SOM (Vineland Location)
About the Role
Rowan-Virtua Regional Integrated Special Needs Center at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a talented Psychiatrist for a full-time faculty position in our Southern New Jersey offices. The qualified candidate must possess a commitment to working with marginalized and underserved communities and experience in the administration & delivery of adult psychiatric patient care in an inter-professional setting.
The selected candidate will provide and manage direct patient care at one or more outpatient clinical offices in the Southern New Jersey area. As a faculty member, you will also have teaching responsibilities with undergraduate medical students and residents.
This faculty appointment is tenure eligible and may be granted upon successful completion of criteria listed in the Rowan-Virtua SOM Faculty Bylaws. Faculty rank (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor) is pending review and recommendation by the Faculty Affairs Committee.
Responsibilities
- Provide and manage direct patient care in outpatient clinical settings
- Teach and mentor undergraduate medical students and residents
- Work in an inter-professional setting to deliver psychiatric care to adult populations
Requirements
- Board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist
- Valid NJ medical license (MD/DO)
- CDS license
- DEA license
- Licensed in the state of New Jersey at the time of hire
- Legally authorized to work in the US (university will not sponsor work visas)
- Experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Record of respect and openness toward individuals with different social and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to create an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment

Our clinical campus is located in Southern New Jersey, within the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is approximately eight miles from Center City Philadelphia, one hour from the Jersey Shore, an hour and a half from NYC, and two hours from Washington, DC.
