About the Role
Join a mission-driven, multidisciplinary team at MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) as an Outpatient Psychiatrist with our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Team in Brunswick, Maine. MaineHealth Behavioral Health provides behavioral health partial hospitalization services for individuals who are too ill to attend traditional outpatient therapy but do not require hospitalization. This program often helps patients transition back into the community after a psychiatric hospitalization. The PHP bridges the gap between hospital and community programs, offering an alternative to hospitalization for those who need more intensive treatment than outpatient office visits but less than 24-hour inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care within the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
- Support patients transitioning from inpatient care to community-based programs.
- Deliver intensive, structured treatment for individuals requiring more than outpatient therapy but less than full hospitalization.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
- Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
- Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
- Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligible for examination, as documented by written evidence.
- Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
- Current DEA Registration Certificate.
- 3+ years of experience inclusive of residency and/or fellowship training.
- Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws.

Pay
This position offers a pay range of $145.00 to $205.00 per hour and may qualify for shift differentials based on eligibility.
