Psychiatrist Part-time
Lakeview Center, part of the Federal Loan Repayment Program (HRSA.gov), provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, services include residential treatment, outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, substance misuse treatments, and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses.
About the role
Responsible for providing inpatient, outpatient, and on-call psychiatric services for Lakeview Center, Inc. (LCI) and Behavioral Health Care (BHC) clients, including adults and children. Duties must conform to standards set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, CARF Accreditation, The Joint Commission, CMS, relevant Florida state agencies, the American Medical Association’s principles of medical ethics, and any other applicable federal, state, or local regulations or third-party payor requirements.
Requirements
- Active Florida MD license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (preferred)
- Eligible for privileging at appropriate hospitals
- Eligible to participate in State or Federal funded programs, including Medicaid
- Must pass organizational screening requirements, including state or federal background checks
Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in monthly MSO meetings
- Comply with professional licensing, credentialing, and privileging requirements
- Document and report psychiatric services and activities within designated time frames
- Perform admission evaluations, daily rounds, medication checks, and progress/condition notes for inpatient hospitalization
- Provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations
- Conduct emergency psychiatric evaluations
- Provide inpatient evaluation and follow-up
- Deliver on-call services
- Offer consultation as needed
- Maintain compliance with LCI, MSO, and psychiatric standards, funding, and accrediting agencies
