About the Role

The psychiatrist will provide outpatient mental health care within a correctional facility, focusing on adult inmates requiring psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for adult forensic patients.
• Manage psychotropic medications for a caseload of 10-15 patients daily.
• Provide specialized psychiatric care in a dedicated mental health office within a secure correctional environment.
• Support effective mental health treatment for inmates.

This is a part-time role with day shifts totaling 16 hours per week and no call duties.

Requirements

• Experience in outpatient psychiatry, particularly with forensic or correctional populations.

Board certification is negotiable.
