Psychiatrist: inpatient, per diem, Brooklyn

About the role

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified in-patient Psychiatrists for moonlighting shifts. Both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.

The Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary clinical team providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric treatments to patients. The inpatient service provides comprehensive assessments and individually tailored treatment plans for individuals with a wide range of mental illnesses from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.

The psychiatrist will collaborate with unit-based nurses, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, primary care physician’s assistants, and primary case hospitalists. The inpatient staff psychiatrist will contribute to inpatient case conferences and departmental initiatives under the supervision of the Service Chief of Psychiatry.

Pay

$245/hour for day shifts and $280/hour for night shifts.
