Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Inpatient Services.
• Provide overall clinical care and lead educational activities on a 24-bed acute Adult Inpatient Unit, including leadership of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Represent the Department in all activities related to clinical care, documentation, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, resident and medical student education, and continuing surveillance of the professional performance of the clinical team.
• Conduct staff meetings and clinical conferences; collect pertinent data and complete investigations and reports.
• Integrate and coordinate the unit’s activities with hospital and department programs (patient care, research, and community health programs).
• Participate in innovative integrative care activities.
• Communicate with patient support systems, including family, friends, health care proxies, case workers, and residence staff.
• Directly supervise Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric PA staff, and Medical Students.
