Psychiatrist - General Adult

Overview

The Henry Ford Health System’s Department of Psychiatry is seeking an American Board of Psychiatry certified/eligible adult psychiatrist for a full-time position in clinic and virtual settings supporting Inpatient services, the Partial Hospitalization Program, and ECT Services at Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Support Inpatient services, Partial Hospitalization Program, and ECT Services at Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services, including mental health, addiction treatment, and behavioral therapy for adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families.
• Collaborate with a clinical network of highly trained professionals in a variety of mental health conditions and specialty areas.
• Participate in the academic mission of Henry Ford Behavioral Health Services, including the education and training of health care professionals and scientific investigation of brain function and human behavior.

Requirements

• Must be board certified in Psychiatry.
• ECT certified (board eligible candidates must be certified within the first three years of employment).

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
• Current license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry.
• Experience in adult psychiatry preferred.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders.
