About the role
The role involves serving as a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist within a comprehensive behavioral health team, primarily providing psychiatric consultation to the Emergency Department and medical/surgical units.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients
- Collaborating with crisis clinicians, hospitalists, and ED providers to ensure timely and effective behavioral health care
- Engaging with outpatient and inpatient services such as ECT, partial hospitalization, and ACT programs
Qualifications
- Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School
- Completion of psychiatric residency/fellowship
- Valid medical license
- Board Certified or eligible in psychiatry
- DEA registration
- Ideally over 3 years of experience
- Meeting credentialing criteria as per medical staff bylaws
