Psychiatrist - Child and Adolescent
Join our dynamic Archway Mental Health Services team as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, providing care within a collaborative environment at CHI St. Alexius Health. This clinical practice position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with shared call coverage and the flexibility to balance inpatient and outpatient care.
About the role
You will deliver essential treatment, intervention, and prevention services to children and youth from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, addressing behavioral and substance abuse issues. In addition to direct patient care, you will contribute to the academic environment through bedside teaching for our resident and fellowship programs.
Success in this role is measured by improving the mental well-being and functional outcomes of young patients using evidence-based treatments, fostering strong therapeutic alliances, and engaging with community programs. Contributions to teaching, mentorship, and continuous professional development are also key.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical psychiatric care for children and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Utilize evidence-based treatments to address behavioral and substance abuse issues
- Engage in bedside teaching for resident and fellowship programs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and patient care navigators
- Participate in shared call coverage
- Actively engage with community programs to extend reach and impact
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry – General Adult Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred)
- Active or eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in North Dakota
- DEA in good standing with no restrictions
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Record of excellence in clinical care and education
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay
$342,235 – $359,347 per year
