Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the role

Join our Child and Family Behavioral Health department in St. Louis Park. This is an exciting, innovative practice offering outpatient mental health services in the Twin Cities area.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
• Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.
• Coordinate with appropriate academic teams, providers, and therapists.
• Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments including but not limited to pharmacological and therapy.
• Teaching responsibility for psychiatric residents.
• Day call and evening call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Residency in Psychiatry
• Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Board eligible in Psychiatry
• Board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Possession of MN Medical License

Qualifications

Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry is preferred.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical skills
