Qualifications
Easterseals MORC provides psychiatric and medical services to children and/or adults served by programs of Easterseals. The ideal candidate will perform biological and psychosocial assessments including psychiatric evaluation, annual psychiatric assessment, physical assessment, and referral. They will make diagnoses and develop recommendations regarding treatment. They will participate in the review and monitoring of consumer medication plans. They will implement crisis evaluation of children and/or adults who may be in need of hospitalization or who may need medication to avoid hospitalization. They will contribute certification for the involuntary commitment and hospitalization of adult mental health consumers. They will also implement clinical supervision and consultation to clinical staff for quality, efficient and cost effective coordination of treatment, continuing care, and support services.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Ability to perform biological and psychosocial assessments including psychiatric evaluation, annual psychiatric assessment, physical assessment, and referral.
- Ability to make diagnoses and develop recommendations regarding treatment.
- Ability to participate in the review and monitoring of consumer medication plans.
- Ability to implement crisis evaluation of children and/or adults who may be in need of hospitalization or who may need medication to avoid hospitalization.
