Job Description and Duties

This position involves administering care to forensic, LPS and medically fragile patients; assisting in planning and evaluation of nursing care; providing a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care; and facilitating the rehabilitation of forensic clients and patients. Candidates must be willing to work in any unit/program and any shift.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE. Must have a current and active Psychiatric Technician License with no Disciplinary Actions.

Eligibility Examination

To be considered for this Job Opportunity, applicants must have eligibility by way of: permanent civil service status, be reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ELIGIBILITY, YOU MUST TAKE THE EXAM.

Training Expectations

If selected, it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).
