Psychiatric Technician, Day Shift, BHU

Position Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety of psychiatric patients and the EOC under the direction of the RN by implementing applicable Policies and Procedures when rounding on patients and unit.
• Provides therapeutic group and individual activity for patients.
• Provides emotional support and behavioral redirection to patients, under the direction of the RN, by implementing interventions from the multidisciplinary plan.
• Completes necessary physical care including vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing.

Position Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous experience working as a PCT or working with Behavioral Health population in a residential or inpatient setting or graduate with a four-year psych degree required.
• Experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Required Education: HS Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.
• Training/Certifications/Licensure: BLS certification.

Pay

• $19.54 - $29.20 Hourly
