About the role

We are hiring for: Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker Lehigh County. This is a Regular position at RHA Health Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to individuals with Mental Health or Co-Occurring issues in a site-based setting.
  • Strengths based and focused on promoting recovery.
  • Aids individuals in increasing their functioning so they can be successful and satisfied in the environment of their choice with the least amount of professional intervention.
  • Teaches direct and indirect skills to individuals.
  • Develops and implements natural and formal supports for individuals.
  • Maintains and monitors the utilization of services to ensure effectiveness, appropriateness, and alignment with the individual's Person-Centered Plan.
  • Counsels and guides individuals to effectively deal with problems and develop positive relationships.
  • Assists individuals in accessing community resources in line with their personal goals for community involvement.
  • Completes necessary documentation, including 90-day reviews, activity notes, procedure documentation for admission, incident reports, continued stay information, and miscellaneous paperwork/reports within required timeframes.
  • Utilizes safe crisis management techniques to manage situations involving agitated and/or hostile behaviors, without the use of physical restraints.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maintains regular, proactive communication with key stakeholder groups and builds new relationships as needed to further the company’s mission and vision.
  • Directs communication with management and executives.
  • Identifies and executes on growth opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a relevant degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with Intellectual, Developmental Disabilities, and/or Mental Health/Substance Use challenges.
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance and vehicle (if required).

Skills

  • Positive and personable demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of crisis management techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer software and applications.
