Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Telehealth

About the role

Brightside Health is transforming mental health care by delivering evidence‑based, precision‑treatment through telemedicine. Providers use a consumer‑centric approach combined with artificial intelligence, measurement‑based care, and machine‑learning clinical decision support to offer personalized psychiatric treatment. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner you will work remotely with clinical autonomy, supported by collaborating psychiatrists and a dedicated member‑support team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all appropriate licensure to prescribe and dispense medications under applicable state and federal laws.
• Provide direct patient care via telemedicine, including synchronous video consultations and asynchronous messaging.
• Evaluate patient records, make prescribing decisions, and deliver medication‑related counseling in a timely manner.
• Complete charting within 48 hours of each session.
• Respond to patient messages within a 72‑hour window.
• Consistently communicate with the clinical leadership team and remain highly reliable to members.
• Demonstrate strong grammar, attention to detail, and the ability to write medical information at a patient‑level.
• Utilize Brightside’s custom‑built EMR, AI‑driven decision support tools, and other technology platforms.
• Collaborate with fellow providers and psychiatrists nationwide.

Requirements

• Active and clear APRN license.
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner certified in Psychiatric & Mental Health (PMHNP required).
• At least 2 years of autonomous experience practicing as a PMHNP post‑graduate.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting.
• Telehealth experience with a high comfort level using technology.
• Licensure in four or more states (the more the merrier).
• Minimum of 8 hours of availability per week.
• Experience working with adolescents is strongly preferred.
• Opted in to Medicare/Medicaid.
