Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Part Time

About the role

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will meet with clients, typically adults who have been discharged from state hospitals, or reside in assisted living facilities or adult family homes and have difficult behaviors to manage. You will meet with your clients regularly to provide individualized psychiatric medication evaluations, prescriptions, and follow-up visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients, typically adults who have been discharged from state hospitals, or reside in assisted living facilities or adult family homes and have difficult behaviors to manage.
• Provide individualized psychiatric medication evaluations, prescriptions, and follow-up visits as needed.
• Work weekdays with an occasional option to work evenings and weekends.
• Occasionally work on-call twice a year.

Requirements

• Part-time position, 20 hours per week.
• Daytime and evening flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Prefers a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) role.
• Has an active ARNP license in WA or is able to obtain one.
• Has prior experience working with the geriatric population and/or adults.
• Has intermediate-level skills in technology for at-home tele-health services.
• Is willing and able to travel once a month or every other month to facilities across various WA counties for in-person client meetings.
• Has satisfactory results of State and Federal background checks.
• Has reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance.
