Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Part Time
About the role
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will meet with clients, typically adults who have been discharged from state hospitals, or reside in assisted living facilities or adult family homes and have difficult behaviors to manage. You will meet with your clients regularly to provide individualized psychiatric medication evaluations, prescriptions, and follow-up visits as needed. This position works weekdays with an occasional option to work evenings and weekends. There is on-call responsibility twice a year.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients for psychiatric medication evaluations and follow-up visits
- Provide individualized psychiatric care to clients in various settings
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Occasional on-call responsibilities twice a year
Requirements
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preference
- Active ARNP license in WA or ability to obtain one
- Prior experience working with the geriatric population and/or adults
- Intermediate level skills of technology for at-home tele-health service
- Willing and able to travel once a month or every other month to facilities across various WA counties for in-person client meetings
- Satisfactory results of State and Federal background checks
- Reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Current license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Washington State
- Experience with geriatric patients and/or adults
- Intermediate level skills in technology for telehealth services
- Ability to travel to various locations within Washington State
- Passing results of background checks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
