Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Part Time

About the Role

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will meet with clients—typically adults who have been discharged from state hospitals or reside in assisted living facilities or adult family homes and have difficult behaviors to manage. You will provide individualized psychiatric medication evaluations, prescriptions, and follow-up visits as needed. This position works weekdays with an occasional option to work evenings and weekends. There is on-call responsibility twice a year. Location is in the Vancouver, WA area, part-time at 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular psychiatric medication evaluations and follow-up visits for clients.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Travel once a month or every other month to facilities across various WA counties for in-person client meetings.
• Participate in on-call duties twice a year.
• Utilize tele-health technology for at-home client services.

Requirements

• PMHNP preference and active ARNP license in WA or ability to become licensed in WA.
• Active DEA.
• Prior experience working with the geriatric population and/or adults.
• Intermediate-level skills in technology for tele-health services.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client facilities across WA counties.
• Satisfactory results of State and Federal background checks.
• Reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance.

Pay

$70–$80/hour with additional productivity incentives available.

Schedule

Around 20 hours per week with a flexible daytime and evening schedule. Part-time, full-time, and PRN/temp positions are available.
