About the role
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Psychiatric Access Team (PAC).
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and evidence-based treatment.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to equity, resilience, and whole-person care.
- Expand your impact through teaching, mentorship, and preceptorship of students and early-career professionals.
- Support Crisis Stabilization Unit patients.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing with Prescriptive Authority.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry.
- Certified as an advanced practitioner of nursing by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
- Valid and Current DEA.
- Current knowledge of pharmacology.
- Ability to administer medications and injections.
- Knowledge of diagnoses and theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
- Treatment philosophy consistent with managed care principles.
Qualifications
- Colorado Nurse Practitioner Licensure Requirement: Active Colorado NP license in good standing.
- Required Vaccination And TB Test.

Schedule
We offer flexible schedules including 4-, and 5-day workweeks, and a hybrid work schedule where you can enjoy working remotely 1 day a week.
Pay
$122,595.20 - $156,145.60 annually, based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity. Bilingual Language Differential Pay of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi-weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full-time equivalency (FTE).
