Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric

We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team and provide high-quality mental health support across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), Assisted Living (AL), and Independent Living (IL) communities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings
- Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
- Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories
- Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary
- Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices
- Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active DEA license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
Qualifications
This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities. Depending on the amount of travel required, Curana may in future determine that a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required.
