We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team and provide high-quality mental health support across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), Assisted Living (AL), and Independent Living (IL) communities.

Responsibilities

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Curana Health, you’ll help shape the future of geriatric behavioral health care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team to deliver personalized psychiatric services, ensuring continuity of care across the post-acute and long-term care continuum.

  • Conduct patient rounds and manage psychiatric care within SNF, LTC, AL, and IL settings
  • Partner with attending physicians, consulting specialists, referral sources, and facility staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
  • Assess and manage the mental health needs of residents, perform physical exams, and gather complete medical histories
  • Order and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, make preliminary diagnoses, and develop effective therapeutic care plans for mental and physical health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments; provide injections as necessary
  • Educate patients and families on medications, care plans, and preventive mental health practices
  • Work alongside physicians and facility teams to address acute psychiatric and medical needs promptly and effectively

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active DEA license
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
