Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with other disciplines toward integrative approaches to patient psychiatric care
- Provide psychiatric care to those experiencing homelessness both at the clinic site and through outreach locations in the Bernalillo County service area
- Serve as a cross-department clinical psychiatric resource for AHCH staff
- Collaborate with other staff in treatment planning
- Participate in planning, case review and quality assurance activities
- Participate in peer review process
- Maintain standards of psychiatric care according to established protocols
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as needed to AHCH patients
- Work closely with primary care and behavioral health providers on clients with psychiatric issues
- Ensure timely documentation of services in EHR in compliance with AHCH standard
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a complex healthcare setting
- A strong desire to work in an integrated/cross-disciplinary team model
- Experience documenting services in an EHR
- Graduated with MSN or DNP from accredited program
- Licensed APRN-CNP or PMHNP-BC
- DEA and CSR license
- Experience providing psychiatric care in a medical/clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years providing psychiatric care in a medical/clinical setting
- Previous experience with outreach/street medicine
- Clinical experience with underserved populations, those with SMI/CMI, and substance abuse disorder
- Previous experience working in a FQHC
