About the role

Clarvida is looking for a Full Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Anaheim Adult Program. The role performs comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, medication management, evaluation, and on-going treatment of clients with mental disorders under the direction of a medical doctor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Counsels and evaluates responses to medications and monitors for potential side effects or adverse reactions
  • Consults with other members of the treatment team on clients’ treatment plans
  • Documents using Anasazi Electronic Health Record, a complete assessment and plan including all medication changes on each client and all other mandatory documents as designated by Program Director
  • Obtains medication consents when appropriate
  • Participates in staff in-service and case presentation meetings
  • Performs duties as designated by ACT model treatment modality
  • Performs home visits and off-site visits as required by the needs of the families and participants
  • Provides support and performs other duties as assigned or necessary
  • May provide direct supervision to any LPT or LVN's on staff
  • Works under minimal supervision by Program Director and Staff Psychiatrist

Education/Licensing Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s in nursing
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license from the Board of Registered Nursing in the practicing state
