Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Coordinator

About the role

The PMHNP Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and oversight for the PMHNP track, supporting Ashland University's mission of Accent on the Individual.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission of Ashland University and Dwight Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
• Collaborates with the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs in the development, implementation, and revision of the PMHNP curriculum.
• Evaluates the PMHNP track and prepares accreditation reports.
• Supports PMHNP student recruitment activities and planning.
• Develops relationships with external partners to support clinical needs and expectations.
• Collaborates with the Graduate Nursing Placement Coordinator to ensure quality clinical placements.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (DNP or PhD).
• Current valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Nationally Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Credentialling as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Ohio.
• Maintains clinical practice consistent with the requirements for PMHNP recertification.
• Maintains CE consistent with the requirements for PMHNP recertification.
• Maintains membership in professional organizations.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include previous academic experience in a university setting with online programs.
