About the role
Elite DNA Behavioral Health is one of the largest providers of behavioral and mental health services in Florida, expanding quickly. We provide high-quality, accessible care to our patients and a supportive environment for professional growth. This full-time position is based in our new Ocala, Florida location. Our care coordination approach matches all patients with their ideal services and providers before direct care begins. We offer leading-edge therapy services, including psychotherapy, psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, EMDR, and group therapy.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, conduct evaluations, and prescribe medications for patients with psychiatric-mental health problems or those likely to have them.
- Provide emergency psychiatric services, physical and psychosocial examinations.
- Deliver outpatient and residential care to patients showing changes or declines in mental status, chronic, or urgent medical conditions.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the medical team under clinical privileges approved by the clinic’s Medical Executive Board.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team providing primary care to employees and patients.
- Perform patient histories, physicals, risk factor assessments, order diagnostic tests, and manage consultations and appointments.
- Prescribe medications in compliance with clinic policy, formulary, and state regulations.
- Consult with physicians on cases beyond the scope of a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Document all relevant patient data in medical records and case presentations.
- Formulate, execute, and review healthcare education for patients and families on disease prevention.
- Ensure effective communication with other health professionals for seamless clinic service delivery.
- Provide consultation to nursing and medical staff to improve work performance and enhance service quality.
Requirements
- Experience working with patients of all ages.
- Experience working with Suboxone.
- Unrestricted, current, and active graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration in a state.
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing followed by a master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from an accredited school.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of societal impacts on mental health.
- Compassionate, sensitive, and strong reasoning and thinking skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and medical software applications.

Pay
Up to $130,000.00 per year, with quarterly bonus opportunities.
Schedule
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
- Full-time, in-person role in an outpatient setting.
