About the role

Elite DNA Behavioral Health is one of the largest providers of behavioral and mental health services in Florida, expanding quickly into Savannah, GA. We provide high-quality, accessible care through a comprehensive, collaborative approach. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for patients with psychiatric-mental health problems, including emergency services, physical and psychosocial examinations, and ongoing outpatient and residential care.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and prescribe medications for patients with psychiatric-mental health problems, including those at risk.
  • Provide emergency psychiatric services and conduct physical and psychosocial examinations.
  • Deliver outpatient and residential care for patients with changes or declines in mental status, chronic or urgent medical conditions.
  • Work independently within an interdisciplinary team, with clinical privileges approved by the clinic’s Medical Executive Board.
  • Perform patient histories, physicals, risk assessments, and order diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications in compliance with clinic policy, formulary, and state regulations.
  • Consult with physicians on cases beyond the scope of a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Document patient data in medical records and case presentations.
  • Develop and deliver healthcare education for disease prevention to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective clinic service delivery.
  • Provide consultation to nursing and medical staff to improve work performance and service quality.

Requirements

  • Experience working with all age groups and Suboxone treatment.
  • Graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration in a state, unrestricted and active.
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, followed by a master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Strong understanding of societal impacts on mental health, problem-solving, and patient monitoring skills.
  • Compassionate, sensitive, with strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and medical software applications.

Pay

Up to $130,000 per year, with quarterly bonus opportunities.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • In-person/outpatient work setting.

Work Location: In-person, Savannah, GA.
