Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients, creating and executing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication and treatment
  • As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support and direction for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery
  • Contribute vital input on records, plans, and reports
  • Facilitate patient group activities
  • Utilize approved de-escalation techniques, support behavioral plans, and respond effectively to emergencies
  • Provide supportive interactions, encourage coping skills, and maintain a safe and structured environment
  • Promote dignity, respect, patient rights, and trauma-informed practices

Requirements

  • Current license as registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code

Qualifications

  • Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer. Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration. Transcripts printed from the institution’s website will not be accepted.

Pay

$36.01 per hour. This position is covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule, with an opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 1st Shift (7:00am to 7:30pm) or 3rd Shift (7:00pm to 7:30am)
  • May work weekends and holidays as needed
