What You’ll Do
- Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication and treatment
- Initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support and direction for nursing staff
- Promote a positive and safe environment for recovery
- Contribute vital input on records, plans, and reports
- Facilitate patient group activities
- Utilize approved de-escalation techniques, support behavioral plans, and respond effectively to emergencies
- Provide supportive interactions, encourage coping skills, and maintain a safe and structured environment
- Promote dignity, respect, patient rights, and trauma-informed practices
Job Skills

Qualifications
- Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code
Benefits
- This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union)
- Pay range: 13 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule
- Normal working hours: 7:00am to 7:30pm
- Position is located within our Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare location, located at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, OH 43614
- The selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter
