Job Description

Plans, directs, and evaluates the overall patient care and functions in a particular area during an assigned shift. Serves as a role model to positively influence culture and work environment. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Essential Functions

  • Captures, organizes, and assigns work to employees.
  • Ensures adequate supplies, equipment, and staff utilization.
  • Serves as an expert EPIC Super User.
  • Serves as a coach, delegator, and service recovery facilitator.
  • Engages in the “workplace community” by staying informed, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance.
  • Institutes emergency responses as appropriate.
  • Maintains quality and safety as a priority.
  • Specifies critical resources required to accomplish the team's objectives.
  • Makes appropriate staffing decisions with understanding and consideration of workload targets and budget impact.

Education Requirement

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required.

Licensure Requirement

Current Ohio Nursing License, required.

Certifications

BLS, required.

Experience

Two years nursing experience, preferred.

Pay

Base rate starts at $39.90, pay to be commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shift: Days- 7:00am- 3:30pm 0.9 FTE (36 hours a week)- Monday - Friday, No weekends. (Schedule- 5x 8-hour shifts and 4x 8-hour shifts on alternating weeks)
