Psychiatric Behavior Technician, Residential Treatment

About the role

I Am Boundless is hiring a Behavior Technician in Residential Treatment. Boundless is a non-profit organization specializing in assisting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and has been serving Ohio for over 40 years. The Behavior Technician will work directly in a residential therapeutic setting with individuals needing behavior stabilization, focusing on autism spectrum disorder, behavioral health conditions, and/or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage and supervise individuals in accordance with their Individualized Plans (IP)
• Implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and other behavior support plans
• Provide crisis intervention for behaviors such as self-injury, aggression, and high-magnitude disruptive behavior

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
• Licensed First Aid, CPR - adult, child, and infant; delegated nursing
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License with proof of auto insurance
• No more than 5 points on driver’s license

Preferred Experience

• Three years of experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral health conditions
• Experience implementing applied behavior analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
