Psychiatric Account Manager

About the role

The Psychiatric Account Manager plays a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the psychiatric therapeutic area, including Community Mental Health Clinics, hospital/institutional systems, and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive relationships with target institutions and community accounts.
• Achieve success in a complex, matrixed selling environment, collaborating with Account Partners, Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Operations colleagues.
• Collaborate with field-based colleagues to ensure appropriate support for customers within a defined geography and develop and execute pull-through strategies.
• Identify key influencers and meet designated customer interaction expectations, focusing on top target customers.
• Use data tools and insights to inform business decisions and deliver clinical brand-specific presentations to physicians and other health care professionals.
• Build relationships in institutions aligned with customer segmentation and plan and organize activities to ensure consistent territory coverage.
• Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
• Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Execute the company brand strategy and tactics within the assigned geographic area.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Maintain adherence and compliance with all corporate, industry policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; Life Sciences preferred.
• 5+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Healthcare industry.
• Psychiatric experience required. A working knowledge of the Schizophrenia field is strongly preferred.
• CMHC account management and/or Hospital/Institutional experience strongly preferred.
• Established relationships in the geography is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of formulary approval process and driving formulary approvals is preferred.
• Must live near to territory boundaries.
• Proven track record of success in a high-science competitive selling environment.
• Ability to identify key decision makers, develop positive relationships, and maintain strong customer dedication.
• Proven track record of success in exceeding results.
• Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed.
• Strong communication, business analytics, and account management skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Benefits

Annual base salary ranges from $140,000 to $147,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
