About the Role
Provide professional nursing care in a mental health/psychiatric setting, ensuring patient recovery and adherence to policies.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients across age groups
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform crisis interventions
- Educate patients and families on care and recovery
- Document patient conditions and progress
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
- Facilitate communication among healthcare providers, patients, and families
- Follow safety protocols and infection control practices
- Participate in professional development and training
- Support emergency measures and response
- May assist with administrative tasks, research, and precepting new staff
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure
- CPR certification
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and patient-centered practices
Qualifications
- Experience in psychiatric care (preferred)
- Bilingual skills (advantageous)
Pay
Compensation varies based on experience, with shift differentials offered. Opportunities for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.
