About the role

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Wilson, NC. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as a key point of contact. You may also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and eligibility for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
