About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Winston-Salem, NC. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as a key point of contact. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
  • In lieu of work experience, certification or training must come from an accredited agency
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation for travel to additional sites when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience

Phlebotomy Service Technicians (PSTs) may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break).
