About the role

Join our team as a Phlebotomist in Portland, OR, where you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent Labcorp in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. This position includes opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and participation in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other specialized testing
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3+ months of experience as a Phlebotomist
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime and rotating Saturdays as needed

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime and rotating Saturdays may be required.
