PS Nurse Practitioner

About the role

This position provides comprehensive sleep medicine services. Hiring for multiple positions, including one to practice exclusively at the Farmington Health Center. The role involves providing primary care and treatment to a group of patients in a clinic or hospital unit, with the ability to access and administer medications within scope of practice and according to State Law.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
• Formulates medical plans and prognoses based on patient conditions.
• Consults with physicians regarding patient health care plans and treatment.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess clinical problems and health care needs.
• Performs selected invasive procedures for therapeutic and/or diagnostic reasons within validated competence.
• Initiates or recommends medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
• Complies with medical records policies for complete and accurate documentation of patient care.
• Initiates and maintains required records and legal documents.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.
• Counsels patients, families, and significant others about health, illness, and health maintenance.
• Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates care for individuals requiring emergency measures.

Requirements

• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
• Utah State prescriptive privileges.
• Licensure obtained by completing a Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalency, plus a National Certification requiring successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.
• Newly hired non-physician providers must apply for credentialing and privileging at the time of hire.
• Must fulfill patient-sensitive requirements, including immunization according to CDC standards and hospital policy (limited exemptions may apply).
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Pay

$113,043.00–$150,033.00 annually, depending on qualifications.
