About the role

As a ProServe Account Executive (PAE) on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services team, you will engage new and existing customers in the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) space with transformative projects involving IT Strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations. You will work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth.

As ProServe's customer-facing relationship owner, your primary focus will be understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, creating proposals, and securing customer sign-off on Statements of Work (SOWs). Following project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure delivery of the agreed customer business outcomes (CBOs) as outlined in the SOW.

This role may require up to 50% travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts by engaging customers and driving high-value engagements.
  • Collaborate with Amazon Global Sales (AGS) representatives to ensure a coordinated approach for key accounts.
  • Create proposals, secure customer sign-off on Statements of Work (SOWs), and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure delivery of agreed CBOs and maximize revenue potential.
  • Advocate for customers while balancing AWS business objectives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business experience.
  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent.
  • Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal, and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals.
  • Experience in technology-related business development, sales strategy, operations, or other sales-related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation.
  • Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
  • Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Knowledge of AWS services.
  • Experience in problem-solving and delivering results.
  • Experience with consumer brands and experience design, and a passion for storytelling.

Pay

Base salary ranges by location:

  • USA, IL, Chicago: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Dallas: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually
